About Us

GreenHaven Studios is a designer and manufacturer of juvenile furniture. Our product line is sold through authorized dealers nationwide.

Our furniture is traditional and classic in design with an eco-friendly twist. All of our furniture is handmade in the US by craftsmen in the Carolinas .We use real hardwoods from sustainable forests, and any adhesives used are soy based. This process reduces the amount of harmful chemicals used in making furniture like formaldehyde. Our paints and stains are no/low-VOC. All these things help keep toxin levels low in a child’s room.

GreenHaven Studios was started by me, Cindy Kerber - a marketing director in new product development. After working in my chosen career for 13 years, I decided to stay home after my daughter was born. My entrepreneurial spirit was calling, but I wasn’t sure where to turn. Then I realized it was right under my nose the whole time. My dad has been hand making toy boxes for each of his grandchildren for years. They had been “product tested” by all the kids in the family since everybody got one on their first birthday. We took his idea, added “green” manufacturing, and had the beginnings of a truly unique idea.

When it came time to move my son up to a big-boy bed, it gave me an excuse to add to our product line! However, knowing about all the toxins that go into making and painting furniture, I was concerned about exposing my kids to harmful chemicals. I couldn’t find green furniture that was designed to my taste…. and GreenHaven was born.

My husband and I try to incorporate “green living” into our everyday lives and I try to do the same at GreenHaven Studios. We employ green practices in the products we make and in our business activities by using paperless processes where ever we can, using blanket wrapped freight and by using Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) products in our marketing efforts.

We are committed to being kinder to our planet in hopes of leaving it a better place for our children – and yours. When we say: ‘not only do we want your child’s room to be a haven… we want their planet to be as well”, we mean it.
